Steve Choi is the Partner of JCMarkinze, based in Hong Kong. Steve leads the firm's Advisory services for clients in the Financial Services and Digital sectors in Hong Kong and the APAC region.
Steve is a seasoned professional with 30+ years of experience in financial services and management ranged from retail and wholesale banking to project and general management. In his 17 years with the HSBC since 2006, Steve had taken senior roles including the Head of Business Management for CEO HK, Global Head of Deposits, Regional Head of FX & Structured Investment APAC, Head of Wealth Management HK, Head of Liabilities (CASA, TMD, Banking Services, Payment & Debit Card).
Prior to HSBC, Steve spent 9 years with Citibank in both Australia and HK as the General Manager, Head of Treasury Products & Sales. Steve was also a Chief FX Dealer at a few other global financial Institutions at the early stage of his career.
Steve is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, a qualified responsible officer in Australia and the holder of a BSc joint honors degree in Economics & Mathematics. Previously, Steve had also been appointed by HKMA as the member of the Consultative Committee on Deposit Protection Scheme, Chairman of the RMB Services Committee HKAB, Chairman of the GBA Committee HKAB and he is also the current Observer for the Economic Policy Committee and the Treasury & Financial Services Committee of the HK General Chamber of Commerce.
