Jen Griffin is the General Counsel of JCMarkinze. Jen started her legal career in Hong Kong three decades ago and was selected for secondment to locations such as Australia and Taiwan.
Prior to becoming Senior Vice President and General Counsel of a Nasdaq-listed corporation, Jen has worked in three prestigious American and international law firms (including one of the largest law firms in the world), representing Fortune 500 and other clients such as Bank of America, Hyundai, SK, Unilever, and Anheuser-Busch InBev, in areas including telecommunications and intellectual property, banking, private equity, venture capital, M&A, securities laws, and foreign investments in China. Jen also participated in one of the first innovative structured finance transactions in Asia and co-authored an updated guide to U.S. securities regulations for foreign issuers.
During her hiatus from the practice of law, Jen forayed into angel investing and property management while pursuing her longstanding interest in medicine and giving back to the community through pro bono contribution in educating and nurturing young people. Jen is preparing to set up a nonprofit that helps improve health through physical activity.
Prior to her admission to the New York Bar, Jen attended The University of Hong Kong (B.A.), University of London (LL.B.), and Duke University School of Law (LL.M). Her other experiences in education include attending, tutoring and/or mentoring at several higher education institutions (such as in Berkeley and at Harvard Medical School Executive Education). She is currently a mentor for Texas Think Tank.
